This years Suffolk Fire Ride challenge is working to highlight and support a very special event whose aim is to raise awareness for Mental health alongside raising 50,000 for two worthy causes. 16 members of Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service will be undertaking the enormous challenge of cycling from Lands End to John O Groats (currently planned for September 2020). This will involve cycling approximately 1,000 miles and climbing (elevation) 14,689m (48,191ft) in just 10 days! Supported by 4 personnel, the riders will be aiming to raise awareness of mental health issues at key stages during the challenge, whilst raising money for two very worthy charities along the way.
